A mix of succulents

A succulent garden you can eat!
In addition to Rose Vanilla's floral treats, I also celebrate nature with lush and lifelike succulent cakes.
Much like the flower cakes, these succulent-inspired sweets feature flora sculpted with buttercream frosting.
Like real-life succulents and other water-storing plants, each hand-piped buttercream figure is unique in color, size, and shape. When grouped together in the bunch-like arrangements, the buttercream delicacies bloom into verdant gardens and transform into cake-topping terrariums.

Easter and Carrot Cake

Easter this year was filled with so much gratitude.
I am beyond touched by how many of you ordered Rose Vanilla cakes and sweets for your Easter celebrations.
I celebrate you and all those who are doing their part in not only healthcare but unwavering support for small businesses such as Rose Vanilla.
For the occasion, I made a naked carrot and pecan cake with vanilla bean cream cheese frosting and filling, topped with a rosemary wreath and a watercolor & linen bunting.

Buttercream Flowers

Sometimes you’re afraid of how a design will come out if you step out of your comfort zone. That is exactly what happens to me when I work with a darker color palette.

For this cake, I made small flowers in shades of red and burgundy and added some purple buds and small details. The larger flowers are all in white with bright colored centers.

Each flower was piped individually, petal by petal and then arranged in the 6” cake with a pink frosting.

Hydrangeas

One of my favorite flowers are hydrangeas. They bloom in colors from white to purple and burgundy, making them one of the best little flower to add to a cake design. Even better when the whole cake is decorated with these small flowers.

For quite some time I have been making this hydrangea cake that is now one of my signature cake designs, a wreath of hydrangeas and cascading vines on the sides of the cake with some tiny buds . Color varies depending on request , but I love this mauve with a hint of golden yellow.

CRUNCH

The temptation of something sweet is what ultimately sells someone on dessert. I don’t underestimate the importance of texture as well when it comes to satisfying those post-meal purchases. I think about the universal appeal of crunchy textures.
I answer the call for a crunchy dessert with this crave-worthy new offering. -Anabel

Pumpkin Spice Latte Cake

Celebrating the colors of the season on this first day of fall with a pumpkin cake, filled and frosted with latte buttercream, so it is basically a “Pumpkin Spice Latte” cake. It is topped with sugar paste mini pumpkins and pine cones.
