I was asked to make a cake with neutral colors and gold accents.
For the occasion, I created this mini 4" inch flower cake with a watercolor effect and buttercream flowers in shades of golden yellow, ecru, and rusty orange.
I made a combination of roses, hydrangeas, and wild flowers and arranged them in two clusters on top of the cake. On the sides of the cake I used a watercolor technique to create some texture and piped some petals and dots in contrasting colors.
